I keep perplexing Satan,
In everything I do.
I keep emerging with a smile,
Through all he puts me through.
I climb each mountain in my path.
With peace, instead of grief.
I will not let him steal my joy.
He’s not that good a thief.
When he tries to make my day look dark,
I focus on the Light.
It strengthens me each step I take.
And helps me win each fight.
My faith is not in what I see, nor in his evil darts.
No tribulation changes
What the Lord put in my heart.
Even though the evil one
Can sometimes cause great pain,
I’ve placed my faith in Jesus Christ.
And that’s where it remains.
