THE LIGHTHOUSE

A dream I had, I won’t forget,
Where I watched dark clouds form.
The ocean pounded on the shore.
My life was in a storm.
I prayed out loud, Lord, stand with me.
This storm is too severe.
God said, My child, I never left.
I’m here, so do not fear.
Lord, I can’t see or feel You here.
Large houses wash away.
And lightning strikes repeatedly,
In a horrible display.
I see a lighthouse on the rocks,
Within the tempest gale.
Reminding me of Christ the Lord.
The One who never fails.
God said, The lighthouse isn’t Christ.
But He’s the rocks you view.
He’s your foundation, My dear child.
The lighthouse there is you.
