There were some thirty soldiers
Who knew the dregs of war.
Ignoring human thoughts of fear,
They crossed the desert floor.
They traveled now by dark of night.
Their mission so covert.
They sought to rescue soldiers, brave,
The enemy had hurt.
A sandstorm came up suddenly.
It completely blocked there sight.
It stopped them right there in their tracks.
And lasted through the night.
And so the soldiers knelt as one.
We pray, God, it’s Your will.
Please send your Son to tame the wind.
And tell it, Peace, be still.
But through the night the wind blew on.
As though it were God’s wrath.
Dawn’s light showed that the wind exposed
The land mines in their path.
